The Cowboys do not face the Rams during the regular season in 2024, but they will see plenty of the NFC West opponent in August.
The Cowboys revealed on Thursday that they will hold a joint practice with the Rams in Oxnard on 8 August, three days before the preseason opener on 11 August.
The Rams will travel to the Cowboys’ training camp on Thursday for an open practice at the Oxnard River Ridge site.
The Cowboys will next travel to Los Angeles to play the Rams on Sunday at SoFi Stadium in the first of three preseason games.
Last year, head coach Mike McCarthy chose not to practise with another team at training camp, but in 2022, he had two practices against other teams, first with the Broncos in Denver and then with the Chargers in Los Angeles, before facing them in the preseason.
The Cowboys and Rams have played 28 preseason games in all, with the Rams leading 16-12.
