Doctor: £25m-rated player likely to pass Aston Villa medical if needed despite September injury

Dr. Rajpal Brar believes Ferdi Kadioglu, a Fenerbache defender, will easily pass his medical at Aston Villa.

According to an injury expert, the 24-year-old Turkey international’s recuperation from a ruptured thigh muscle in September was not significant, and he was able to continue playing throughout the season.

On 10 April, Turkish newspaper Aksam stated that Villa Park were interested in the left-back, who is available for £25.6 million this summer.

Dr. Brar, a physical therapist and sports scientist, explained the scenario to Villa News.

“He tore his thigh muscle in September 2023, but he recovered swiftly, missing less than a month.

“Based on his return timeframe, it was most likely a Grade 1 injury, and he has been in good condition since.

“It didn’t seem to affect him after he returned, so I wouldn’t be concerned about him failing a physical.

“The club will be thoroughly gauging his performances over the season and probably before to ensure that everything checks out.”

Aston Villa does not need Ferdi Kadioglu.

While Kadioglu’s fitness is not a major problem, he may not be needed at Villa Park next season.

If Lucas Digne and Alex Moreno both continue with the club, there will be adequate competition at left back.

If Unai Emery wants to upgrade, the 24-year-old is unlikely to be any better than Digne, and spending that much money makes little sense.

As things are, the club is unlikely to increase its interest, let alone engage in discussions over his price tag.
