Sunderland head coach: Will Still, Danny Rohl & Bo Svensson update

Danny Rohl, the prospective head coach of Sunderland, has decided to remain at Sheffield Wednesday this summer. The German manager told the German media in his home country that he wants “continuity” and hopes to finish in the top 10 the next season.

Rohl expressed his wish to remain at Hillsborough in an interview with Kicker, and a three-year contract is expected to be finalised this summer.

Wednesday, who accomplished an incredible comeback in the Championship following Rohl’s takeover in October of last year, will be much boosted by this.

Several teams were drawn to his exceptional work as the Owls’ head coach, including Sunderland, who is now searching for a new head coach to succeed Michael Beale.

The Black Cats have kept an eye on Rohl’s progress, but it never seemed probable that the 35-year-old would assume the helm at the Stadium of Light—especially after it was revealed how much money would be needed to oust the highly sought-after manager from Hillsborough.

And it’s now confirmed that he will stay on Wednesday.

“Continuity in my own career is good for me,” he stated.

“It is beneficial for my personal growth to stay here. We should aim to stabilise and improve the entire situation; being among the league’s top ten would be a fantastic place to start.

It’s now “essential,” according to Rohl, that Wednesday strengthen their roster this summer.
