West Ham respond on Gianluca Scamacca bonus payment after Euro win

Regarding if West Ham will receive a bonus payment from Gianluca Scamacca following his victory in the Euro, the club has answered.

There is mounting evidence that West Ham gave up on Gianluca Scamacca far too quickly.

Scamacca’s impact on Hammers fans was divided both during and after his short tenure at the team.

David Moyes, the former manager of West Ham, has come under fire for how he handled Scamacca.

Moyes effectively gave up on the Italian striker after less than a year in east London, despite spending nearly two years looking for a top-tier striker to replace Sebastien Haller.

Last summer, Scamacca was sold to Atalanta for £27.5 million, a £3 million loss.

The former Sassuolo attacker was the most recent in a long succession of forwards at West Ham who, for various reasons, have struggled to find the back of the net.

Danny Ings, who was added in January subsequent to Scamacca’s arrival, has met a similar end.

Both Scamacca and Moyes were irritated by illness, injuries, and a glaring lack of research on the kind of striker Scamacca is and what he would offer to the squad.

The curious case of Gianluca Scamacca

At first, Moyes appeared to have been vindicated because Scamacca didn’t remove too many trees at Atalanta.

Gian Piero Gasperini, the manager of Atalanta, even called him “lazy” at one time.

The former Hammer recently talked about his personal troubles.

He’s been through a true purple patch ever since.

Not least of all, he helped his new team go to the Europa League final by scoring two goals against Liverpool at Anfield.

Scamacca helped Atalanta defeat Bayer Leverkusen, the team who defeated West Ham in the quarterfinals, 3-0 in the championship game on Wednesday night. He had an outstanding all-around performance.

During West Ham’s ascent to European glory, the former Hammer scored a number of vital goals.

He has now won two European trophies in a row. And as a result, Atalanta has earned a spot in the Champions League.

Will the Hammers, though, be receiving a kickback?

West Ham respond on Scamacca bonus payment

Regarding whether a Scamacca bonus payment is owed following their European victory, West Ham has answered.

When teams sell players, they frequently include different bonus clauses.

A condition stating that West Ham would get £1 million for each Champions League qualification the Gunners made over the following five years was added by David Sullivan and company when West Ham sold Declan Rice to Arsenal.

Hammers News so inquired as to whether Scamacca’s contract included anything comparable by contacting the chief spokesperson at West Ham.

The response was succinct and unimpressive.

A West Ham representative told Hammers News, “Unfortunately, no, we don’t have any bonus payments due as a result of Gianluca Scamacca qualifying for the Champions League.”

Huge frustration over Scamacca

That’s unfortunate because it would have reduced the striker’s loss and increased club finances.

Seeing Scamacca lead the queue so expertly has been quite annoying.

especially considering that West Ham will now have to invest money this summer on a new striker.

While commentating on the Europa League final on TNT Sports, Peter Crouch pointed out the irony that “West Ham are crying out for a striker like Scamacca.”

Undoubtedly, supporters of the Hammers will also have to witness his outstanding performances for Italy at the summer’s European Championship.

just to aggravate the injury.

Scamacca made 26 starts for Atalanta at the end of the season, tallying eight assists and eight goals.
