Newcastle plans a double raid for a striker from Everton and a winger from West Ham.

Newcastle is considering summer moves for Everton attacker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and West Ham star Jarrod Bowen, according to Luke Edwards of The Telegraph.

According to him, both have been “featuring prominently” in recent recruitment meetings. The club is prioritising the signing of a new right-winger and is looking for a striker who can take Callum Wilson’s place, who is anticipated to leave this summer.

According to Edwards, Newcastle has had a long-standing interest in Bowen. The club’s hierarchy regards Bowen highly, and we have tried to sign him in past transfer windows, but each time West Ham responded with a ‘not for sale’, we were unsuccessful.

Throughout 2023–2024, the 27-year-old scored 20 goals and sent out 10 assists for the Hammers. It’s said that he and Michael Olise of Crystal Palace are talking, but we are sceptical of Manchester United’s sustained interest in the Eagles star.

Calvert-Lewin is an oddball. According to The Telegraph, we have been following the Toffees striker for the past two years because the club’s recruitment experts thought he would be more effective in an aggressive lineup.

Although the 6′ 2″ forward’s injuries are a concern, he did play 38 games for Everton last season and scored eight goals for Sean Dyche’s team in all competitions.
