European giants now have headache after Nottingham Forest decision on £120,000-a-week player

Today, Nottingham Forest made their choice on a player who made £120,000 per week in 2023–2024 apparent.

The Reds’ 2-1 victory over Burnley on Sunday guaranteed them a spot in the Premier League for another year.

Forest will now probably have a busy summer since a number of events are scheduled to take place at the City Ground.

There will be a lot of focus on departures, as it was revealed today that several players will be leaving.

A loanee of the team has now caused his parent club a great deal of headaches because Forest has made an unsatisfactory decision on his future.

Nottingham Forest decides what to do with Divock Origi.

After Forest decided not to acquire Divock Origi, it would seem that AC Milan is having some issues with him.

The San Siro giants are keen to get rid of Origi in the summer, according to Sempre Milan.

They believe that his tenure at Forest will be challenging in that regard, and his exorbitant pay is becoming an issue.

Origi makes £120,000 a week at AC Milan, and it seems unlikely that Forest will be able to let him go considering his lackluster performance there.

During his tenure at Forest, the 29-year-old managed just one goal, which he scored against Bristol City in the FA Cup.

On their official website, Forest declared today that they will not be closing any negotiations to acquire any of their loan players.

That includes Origi, and from AC Milan’s point of view, that is far from ideal.

Forest ought to take the credit market catastrophe as a lesson.

Origi wasn’t the only one who exposed Forest’s misguided 2023–2024 loan signing.

During the campaign, none of the players that joined the team on loan made much of an impression.

The lone exception may have been Gonzalo Montiel, but it also appears that he is not going to sign a long-term contract.

When it comes to the credit market, Forest needs to take some serious lessons to heart.

If handled correctly, this market has a lot of potential, but this season the team just didn’t make the most of it.

Hopefully, Forest will learn its lessons, and if it signs any loan players before the next campaign, they must be capable of contributing to the club.
