Jack Butland acknowledges that the league title for Celtic has hit “like a tonne of bricks.”

Celtic’s title win was celebrated long into the weekend after Brendan Rodgers sealed his third title as the manager and the club’s third in a row.

We discussed yesterday the incredible scenes in Glasgow city centre as the Celtic fans partied long into Saturday and into the small hours of Sunday morning.

The fans and everyone at Celtic were overjoyed to win this title after a closely run race by Rangers quickly petered out after the 3-3 draw in the Ibrox Glasgow Deby.

For this summer the title win means the Celtic fans have the bragging rites this summer and Champions League football to look forward to.

However, the Rangers fans are still ruing their big chance to win Scotland’s top prize and missing out on the millions of UEFA pounds which will soon be heading up The Celtic Way.

Jack Butland’s Celtic ‘tonne of bricks’

Butland said [Daily Record], “There’s been some incredible moments but ultimately we’ve fallen short of our main goal which was to win the league. So yeah, there’s been some down moments over the last couple of weeks.

“You know, when you’ve put so much effort into that ambition and then for it to be gone, yeah, it hits you like a tonne of bricks I suppose. But I’ve loved this last 12 months. I’ve loved the challenge, I’ve loved the experience.
