Guéhi returns for final-day fixture

Oliver Glasner’s starting lineup for Crystal Palace is unchanged today afternoon, with Marc Guéhi making his first start since early February.

The England international will wear the captain’s armband against Aston Villa, taking Will Hughes’ place who is injured. Since recovering from a long-term injury, the international has made two substitute appearances.

Jefferson Lerma also starts the game on the bench for the matchday squad, which also includes James Tomkins and Jairo Riedewald, who will both be leaving the team after eight and seven years in south London, respectively.

Due to the announcement, Dean Henderson will start the game in goal. There are many of defensive options for Henderson to choose from, including Chris Richards, Joachim Andersen, Guéhi, and Nathaniel Clyne, who have all recently played center back.

Adam Wharton and one of them will probably play together in midfield, while Tyrick Mitchell and Daniel Muñoz will probably stay out wide.

Alongside Jean-Philippe Mateta, who is attempting to extend his club record run of six straight home goals this afternoon, Michael Olise and Ebere Eze start in attack.

Wilson (GK), Clyne, Andersen, Guéhi, Richards, Muñoz, Mitchell, Wharton, Olise, Eze, Mateta are the players in the Palace.

Matthews (GK), Ward, Tomkins, Lerma, Riedewald, Ozoh, Schlupp, Ayew, and Edouard are the substitutes.

changes: Jhon Duran, Calum Chambers, Clement Lenglet, and Robin Olsen.

Olsen (GK), Konsa, Diego Carlos, Lenglet, Digne, Chambers, Douglas Luiz, Dhuran, Diaby, McGinn, Watkins are the players for Aston Villa.

Gauci, Pau, Kellyman, Young, Iroegbunam, Emery Fernandez, Munroe, and Kellyman are the substitutes.
