Crystal Palace and Fulham are interested in a Manchester United flop.

After a disappointing loan period, Sofyan Amrabat’s time at Manchester United seems to be coming to an end. After leaving Fiorentina for United in the summer, the Moroccan midfielder has found it difficult to establish himself at Old Trafford.

Amrabat has only made 28 appearances, with just nine starts in the Premier League, despite high expectations, raising questions about his long-term future with the team.

According to BBC Sport, United first signed Amrabat on a season-long loan of £8.5 million with a buyout option of an extra £21.4 million. There has been conjecture on Amrabat’s future course of action, but current sources indicate that the Red Devils are unlikely to activate this option. The fact that his representative was in Manchester on Tuesday for negotiations has added credence to the reports that he is leaving soon.

Fulham and Crystal Palace are considering Sofyan Amrabat.

Other Premier League teams have taken notice of Amrabat’s talent despite his lackluster tenure at Manchester United. The Sun claims that Fulham and Crystal Palace are keeping a close eye on his circumstances. These teams believe the 27-year-old has promise because of his occasionally brilliant performances.

Amrabat allegedly impressed Crystal Palace in particular during their decisive 4-0 victory over the Red Devils a few weeks back.

Palace is keen to expand their midfield options under the direction of new manager Oliver Glasner, and they see Amrabat as a useful addition. A defensive midfielder is needed by Fulham, who are waiting on Joao Palhinha to possibly leave. Amrabat is a desirable contender to cover that hole because of his defensive prowess and international experience.

Amrabat had a successful three seasons at Fiorentina, making 92 league appearances and scoring once. This was the start of his path to the Premier League. His outstanding performances for Morocco highlight his ability on the international front, as did their historic journey to the 2022 World Cup semi-finals in Qatar, when he was awarded his 49th international cap.
