Doctor: Aston Villa player unlikely to start again this season amid ‘Major’ fitness issues

According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, Aston Villa forward Nicolo Zaniolo may not be able to play the entire 90 minutes against Liverpool on May 13.

According to an injury expert, the Italian’s chances of starting any more games this season are uncertain due to recent fitness issues.

The 24-year-old played just five minutes against Olympiacos on May 2 and has since been sidelined due to a minor injury.

Dr. Brar, a physical therapist and sports scientist, explained the scenario to Villa News.

“Considering he only played five minutes and hasn’t been responding well to things – according to Unai Emery’s statements – I’d be very surprised to see him play a complete 90 for the rest of the season.

“At this point, he might not even start a game.

“He has been facing major struggles with his fitness and the only way to ramp it up is through bounce games, which is not possible with the season-ending and Villa out of Europe.”

Nicolo Zaniolo has had a challenging season at Aston Villa.

The 24-year-old has had a difficult season at Villa Park, dealing with injuries.

Even when fit, he has only made nine league starts for Unai Emery.

He has two league goals, but they have not impressed Villa fans, who will watch Champions League games next season.
