Aston Villa tease new Adidas home kit ahead of 2024-25 season

Aston Villa will wear Adidas shirts next season after two controversial years with Castore

Chris Heck, the president of business operations at Aston Villa, revealed the concept of the team’s upcoming home jersey in an enigmatic photo that he shared ahead of time. He also confirmed that Adidas will be the new kit manufacturer.

For the past two years, Castore has supplied Villa’s uniforms; previously, the team has gotten gear from Luke 1977, Kappa, Under Armour, and Macron. However, Adidas will design and produce the uniforms and shirts for 2024–2025. Nassif Sawiris, the owner of a villa, owns a nearly 6% minority stake in Adidas.

The image below, which features the recognizable Adidas Three Stripes logo in the middle of a light blue crest, was posted on Friday by Heck, who recently conducted an in-depth interview verifying that Villa has made significant progress in terms of sponsorship, including manufacturer, front of shirt sponsor, and sleeve sponsor. This comes as Villa gets ready to reveal their new badge.

The image shows a mural in shades of blue and claret that seems like a stained glass window, with the word “Prepared” underneath the emblem.

“We’re working around the clock trying to do sponsorship deals, changing the stadium to be beneficial to Financial Fair Play, find new revenue streams, take in our merchandise in-house and things of that nature,” Heck stated.

“In terms of our three main assets—the front of the shirt, the outfit supplier, and the sleeve sponsor—the rise of sponsorship has doubled. Those are huge deals. We can’t wait to start those partnerships in the summer and establish this business with those sponsors on a solid base. We add more subtleties to the stadium, premium seating, and merchandising as we bring on more sponsors.”
