Lopetegui’s most important job will be to get rid of awful £25 million player after Luton horror show

Julen Lopetegui will take over as West Ham United manager this summer.

West Ham’s new manager, Julen Lopetegui, will take over after David Moyes leaves this summer.

The Spaniard intends to make six top-class new additions at the London Stadium this summer, indicating a significant workload.

I believe he’ll need to bring in more new players than that, especially with so many players expected to leave this summer.

Although up to 12 Hammers have been connected with the London Stadium exit door, Lopetegui should prioritise one player who is not on the list.

It may surprise some people, but someone who played a key role under Moyes is now such a weak link for us that he needs to be sold immediately.

The Spaniard must remove Kurt Zouma immediately upon entering the London Stadium. I mean, he was really terrible against Luton Town tonight and couldn’t even go across the pitch.

This season, he has shown that he is not fit to be a captain, as evidenced by his stroll down the tunnel following a 5-0 loss to Chelsea.

Most important job for Julen Lopetegui will be to sell West Ham man

Zouma joined West Ham from London rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2021 for roughly £25 million (talkSPORT).

Initially, it appeared like the Hammers had scored a coup; the 29-year-old centre-back was an absolute rock for us throughout his first two seasons at the London Stadium.

Zouma, a tower of strength at the back for West Ham, has established himself as one of the Premier League’s top central defenders.

However, fissures began to develop last semester. The Frenchman developed some knee difficulties and appeared to lose his pace completely.

Zouma’s legs appear to be completely shot now. He can barely move without limping and appears to be on the verge of injuring himself.

Every time he falls to the ground, it appears that he is striving to get up. Sprinting back into position appears to be a major issue for the centre-back right now.

There were concerns regarding Zouma’s knee issues before he signed with West Ham.It was believed at the time that David Sullivan was hesitant to invest so much money on the center-back.

As harsh as it may sound, I believe he has concluded his career at the London Stadium.

If Julen Lopetegui is serious about guiding West Ham to success in the next years, he should sell Kurt Zouma first.
