‘I am going’: Chris Sutton predicts what the score will be when Everton face Sheffield United

Chris Sutton can see only one winner in Everton’s Premier League match against Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

Sean Dyche hopes to end Everton’s home campaign on a good note and maintain their recent success.

Possible changes include the return of Andre Gomes and Amadou Onana to the starting lineup.

After a disappointing Premier League return, Chris Wilder’s Blades are now preparing for life in the Championship.

Sutton, who is never short of a contentious opinion, has predicted every Premier League game this season. Some are clearly tougher than others.

However, Sutton believes the Toffees’ home game against Sheffield United will be a simple victory.

In his BBC Sport predictions, he stated: “The pressure is off Everton now, but this is their final home game of the season, and they will want to finish on a high note.

“Sheffield United’s season has been catastrophic from the beginning. They’ve conceded 100 league goals already, and I don’t think they’ll stop there.

“Everton would hardly be described as a free-scoring team, but the Blades have a reputation of capitulating, and Sean Dyche’s side should win comfortably. 2-0.”

Everton targeting five home wins in a row

Everton will win their fifth home game in a straight if they win on Saturday, having previously defeated Burnley, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, and Brentford.

Everton’s recent performance at Goodison Park has been impressive.

On the pitch, things could not be going better. The players finally appear to be fully committed to the manager’s ideals.

However, off-the-field concerns remain a source of concern for the 2024/25 season.

777 Partners’ bid appears to be failing, with reports suggesting Farhad Moshiri is in talks with another interested party.

The top goal is to avoid the Miami-based group, which is manifestly unsuitable for purpose.
