‘He’s leaving’ – Everton land transfer boost after agent confirms ‘interest’ in 24-year-old

The agency of Everton-linked midfielder Emiliano Martinez has announced that he will leave his present club in the summer.

Martinez has spent the past 18 months with Danish club Midtjylland, making 51 games and scoring once. He has also been capped twice by Uruguay and is on the reserve list for the Copa America.

Everton has previously expressed interest in the 24-year-old player, according to his agent, Mauricio Machado, according to Uruguayan radio Sport 890 (via Sports Witness). Martinez, who has three years remaining on his present contract, is expected to leave Midtjylland when the transfer window opens at the end of the season.

Everton is reportedly still interested in Martinez. Machado stated, “Emiliano is doing very well today.” He’s playing. His last few games have earned him a spot in the Copa America. In June, he will leave Denmark. We have teams interested in both the Premier League and Spain.

“Everton of England were previously interested in Emiliano Martinez and are now again. It might be a nice choice for the middle of the year. Let us analyse it.”
