Mark Noble wants David Sullivan to appoint Ruben Amorim at West Ham United

According to talkSPORT, Mark Noble believes David Sullivan should hire Ruben Amorim to replace David Moyes at West Ham United this summer.

According to the news outlet’s website (4 May), club veteran Noble and technical director Tim Steidten believe hiring the Portuguese coach would be a sign of purpose.

West Ham are reportedly pursuing a bid for Julen Lopetegui, with an offer being made and the Spaniard nearing an agreement to take over this summer.

West Ham United taking the easy way out with Lopetegui?

After months of conjecture, Moyes appears to be departing the club. The next question is who will replace him.

Many names have been connected to the job, but one notable distinction amongst the candidates is that Lopetegui is currently a free agent, which means no negotiations with other clubs or remuneration.

Most people would have guessed that Sullivan would take that route, but if the board is serious about moving up a level and competing, they must be more ambitious than that.

Ruben Amorim

Lopetegui has a solid CV and a decent record, but it’s not mind-blowing or exceptional, whereas Amorim is considered as one of the best young coaches around right now and is poised to win the Portuguese title for the second time in four years.

It appears that Sullivan is choosing the easy way out rather than going after the greatest candidate, which could portend issues for next season.
