West Ham eyeing surprise move for former Real Madrid manager; have already held talks with him

West Ham are reportedly planning to replace David Moyes at the end of the season as they consider alternative options.

The Scottish head coach is under pressure as the Hammers’ recent poor run continues, with only one Premier League win in their previous five games, dropping them to ninth position in the table.

The East London team was ousted from the Europa League last month, losing 1-3 on aggregate to Bayer Leverkusen in the quarterfinals.

Faced with the danger of missing out on all possible European positions next season, West Ham’s management is seriously considering replacing Moyes, whose contract expires in June.

West Ham are in early talks with Julen Lopetegui.

The Sun reports that West Ham have chosen two candidates for their future manager, with former Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui emerging as the frontrunner.

According to the source, they are in advanced talks with Lopetegui to replace David Moyes at the end of the season.

According to the source, the Spaniard is the favourite candidate to take over the reins, and an agreement between the club and the manager is nearing completion.

Lopetegui is seen as a good prospect for the West Ham job, having previously managed prominent clubs such as Porto, Real Madrid, the Spanish national team, and Sevilla, where he won the Europa League.

In addition to Lopetegui, West Ham executives are considering Sporting manager Ruben Amorim for the managing position.

Amorim is presently leading Sporting to the top of the Primeira Liga, with a five-point lead with three games remaining and the team ready to win its 20th league title.

Lopetegui has some English top-flight experience, whilst Amorim is young and inexperienced.

Ultimately, the club decides who they wish to back for the role.
