“He will snub” | West Ham’s Johnson makes up mind on his future

Ben Johnson has reportedly decided which club he wants to join after his contract with West Ham expires.

Ben Johnson has proven to be a solid, industrious, and dependable option this season. Many fans believe he should take the starting spot over Vladimir Coufal, but David Moyes disagrees.

Despite his significantly improved performance, the academy football graduate has not received enough opportunities this season. Understandably, he is fed up with this and plans to leave the club when his contract ends at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has sparked a lot of curiosity, which should come as no surprise. He’s a young man who has played over 100 games for the Hammers and boasts genuine talent. He has proven to be a versatile player for West Ham, having played all over the pitch. His ability to play equally well on both sides of the defence is very desirable.

According to the Daily Record, he will join Glasner’s Crystal Palace instead of Rangers, who were expected to pursue him. Our own ExWHUEmployee reported Palace’s interest a while ago and claimed they offered him a great deal.

Obviously, until ink meets paper, there is still a potential that he will transfer somewhere – or perhaps remain at the London Stadium. It will be disappointing to see a guy like Johnson, who grew up loving the club, depart, but who can blame him? He can’t let his career stagnate, especially when he has so much potential.
