Everton: Darren Bent slams Nottingham Forest on air after ‘appalling’ Goodison Park controversy

Darren Bent criticized Nottingham Forest in real time on talks PORT for their remarks made in the wake of their contentious loss to Everton.

On Sunday, April 21, Sean Dyche’s team defeated Goodison Park 2-0 to win all three points, but they were lucky not to give up at least one penalty because three controversial calls went against them.

The PGMOL was accused by Forest’s official X account of selecting Stuart Atwell, a supporter of Luton Town, as the VAR. Although Bent acknowledged the terrible choices, he believed the opposition had gone too far.

In an interview with talks PORT on Monday, April 22, at 5:08 p.m., he stated: “I believe social media usage is now the standard. We live in a world that is always changing, so I believe the days of them doing things the right way through the right channels are over.

“In terms of the decisions, I concur with them; I believe all three were penalties; you might argue against the first two, but the final one is a waller. As soon as you begin to compromise integrity, Atwell being

“There’s no justification for the last one. I believe the referee tried to signal as though he had the ball, but someone at Stockley Park must have told him he hadn’t.
The only way Ashley Young can reach the ball when she flies through Hudson-Odoi’s back is by flying through him. It is absolutely disgusting that they refuse to give it to her.

Everton take huge step away from Premier League relegation zone with win over Nottingham Forest

Bent’s suggestion that Forest’s social media post is simply the next step forward in the modern world is interesting, as the company has received backlash from both supporters and pundits for the way they made their announcement.

However, everyone in the football community agrees that Nuno Espirito Santo’s team went too far in challenging Atwell’s honesty. Every referee makes mistakes from time to time, and it appears that on Sunday he was simply moving too slowly.

It is unclear what additional action Forest will take against the PGMOL or the FA, although it is unlikely that either organization will do anything at all. Forest is justified in feeling frustrated, but this is how badly they have handled it.

Hopefully, Espirito Santo’s side will receive some sort of penalty as soon as possible. Even in cases where the choice was reprehensible, they are unable to challenge the integrity of an official.
