Ipswich could soon soften Moore exit by unleashing Al-Hamadi rival

Ipswich might soon ease Moore’s leave by releasing Al-Hamadi’s competitor.

When Kieffer Moore returns to AFC Bournemouth, Ipswich Town might provide this loanee with an opportunity to flourish.

Despite not winning their past three Championship games, Ipswich Town is at the top of the second-tier league table.

This season, Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys have risen from League One to the Premier League, surpassing Leicester City and Leeds United, who were also competing against Fleetwood Town and Burton Albion.

In January, Ipswich strengthened their promotion drive with the acquisition of Kieffer Moore on loan from AFC Bournemouth. Moore has scored six goals in 15 league outings since his arrival.

After beating off promotion rivals for Moore’s signature, Ipswich will soon have to worry about who will fill his shoes when the Cherries player returns to his parent club, with this overlooked Tractor Boys attacker eagerly waiting for his chance.

Ahadme’s statistics from Cambridge

This season, the periphery Ipswich midfielder has scored 12 goals in 29 outings across all competitions for the U’s, perhaps reviving his struggling Tractor Boys career.

Ahadme, formerly described as a “outstanding” prospect by previous Cambridge coach Mark Bonner before his resignation, remains the club’s leading scorer this season despite missing major sections of the campaign due to injury troubles.

With this knowledge in hand, it may be considered as a danger to throw him into the deep end of playing for Ipswich soon. McKenna’s men know all too well about attackers pulling up with injuries, such as George Hirst, who has been out of action since the end of December.

Ipswich hopes to duplicate Ali Al-Hamadi’s rise from League Two to the Premier League with Ahadme’s comeback from Cambridgeshire.

Al-Hamadi, who formerly played for AFC Wimbledon in the fourth division, has excelled in his new role as a centre-forward in Suffolk, scoring four goals in a depleted position.

McKenna will undoubtedly want more bodies to select from up top next season, whether Ipswich secures an incredible promotion or remains in the second tier, with the Tractor Boys potentially handing Ahadme a fresh start at Portman Road after failing to use him successfully in the past.

With Moore likely leaving Ipswich to return to the South Coast, and players like Kayden Jackson and Freddie Ladapo being pushed on as reserve alternatives up top, Ahadme might finally get his big chance at Ipswich if everything falls into place.
