“We’re used to Rangers…” – Sutton is at it again after Ross County defeat

The Celtic analyst couldn’t help but make another joke.

In an attempt to incite supporters once more, Chris Sutton has taken aim at Rangers once more following their shocking loss to Ross County on the road in the Scottish Premiership over the weekend.

Rangers suffer a crushing loss.

On Sunday, Philippe Clement’s team had the opportunity to preserve control of their own fate and cut the gap at the top of the table against Celtic. They made a terrible mistake with their lines, though, and lost 3-2 unexpectedly. If not for a late penalty from James Tavernier, the score may have been even higher.

Rangers led 1-0 at halftime after taking the lead in the first half. However, after that, things quickly went south for them, as they found themselves trailing 3-1 and facing one of their worst finishes of the year.

Tavernier gave them a late scare with a penalty kick, raising the possibility of a dramatic comeback, but the Gers were unable to produce an equalizer in a hectic conclusion.

With just one game remaining, the loss has put Rangers four points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title race. As a result, there is now intense pressure on Rangers to bounce back, starting with Wednesday night’s trip to Dundee.

Sutton targets the Rangers once more.

Even though he acknowledged that Rangers’ penalty was warranted on Sunday, Sutton continued to poke fun at the team in his remarks on Sky Sports [via Ibrox News] on Sunday, saying, “It’s the position of the arm.” It might be considered somewhat unlucky, but he leaps with his arms raised and his knee bent. Since we are accustomed to Rangers receiving penalties, I doubt that any of us will voice complaints.”

Though Sutton has made far more inflammatory remarks in the past, this is merely the most recent instance of him trying to inflame Rangers fans. He is incapable of stopping himself. Considering his Celtic background, he might have refrained from making fun of him because he has a history of irking Gers supporters and has recently faced a lot of criticism from them.

This was highlighted after the 3-3 draw at home against Celtic earlier this month. Former Rangers midfielder and manager Graham Souness retaliated on talkSPORT, saying, “I can’t believe how biased Chris is when he’s talking about Rangers.” Sutton’s bias was brought to light during a Sky Sports commentary. He was shouting, ‘It’s not a penalty, it’s embarrassing.

“It was clearly penalized. For me, it’s not even worth having a conversation about. And now for a query. Does VAR pay attention to the game commentary? Because I’m thinking, ‘Chris is trying to persuade whoever is listening, maybe in the VAR, because he’s going so strong here.'”
