BREAKING: Former Green Bay Packers Receiver Signs With NFC Rival

After trading away four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers just one off-season ago, the Green Bay Packers have undoubtedly moved on from a number of offensive players in recent years. Equanimeous St. Brown, an unrestricted free agent wide receiver (pronounced eck-wah-nihm-ee-ous), has agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints, according to a statement released today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Mickey Loomis.

The Green Bay Packers originally picked 6-foot-5, 214-pound St. Brown, a six-year NFL veteran, out of Notre Dame in the sixth round (207th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. St. Brown spent six seasons playing in 60 regular season games with 28 starts for the Packers (2018–21) and the Chicago Bears (2022–23). He finished his career with 63 receptions for 928 yards and two touchdowns.

In addition, St. Brown has had seven special teams tackles, returned a kickoff for 17 yards, and ran 11 times for 80 yards. He had one start in three postseason games for the Packers and had two receptions for 37 yards, one carry for one yard, and three special teams stops.

Equanimous St. Brown Was Never Successful With The Bears Or Packers

St. Brown has five years of league experience. With the Packers, three, and the Bears, two. He has never been able to accumulate more than 328 receiving yards in a season throughout that time. He scored just two touchdowns in 2020 and 2022.

It would be interesting to watch if he can get going in New Orleans with an offense lead by Derek Carr. Joining a wide receiving room that includes Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, Cedrick Wilson Jr., Stanley Morgan, and A.T. Perry, he could have numerous opportunities.

St. Brown, who is 27 years old right now, wants to establish himself and sign a big contract in the NBA before turning 30.
