‘Frustrated and angry’ Wolves boss Gary O’Neil tells referees to ‘get better’ after West Ham loss

Gary O’Neill, the head coach of Wolves, has called on the Premier League refereeing standards to “get better” after his team’s defeat by West Ham in stoppage time.

“Unless everyone disagrees and I’m furious and it should have been forbidden,”

When asked if VAR was operating effectively, O’Neil replied, “I’m sure the process will be reviewed.” Although I recognize that sometimes analyses take longer than we would like, I have no problem with them.

“What bothers me is when things are examined and then the incorrect conclusion is reached. It obviously occurs occasionally, but for me, it happens far too frequently.

O’Neil stated that the Wolves players “don’t feel respected” by the officials, adding that they were talking about methods to intervene on their own behalf, though he wouldn’t say how.

He remarked, “I’m not sure (what they can do).” We’ll see where they are and how they feel about it next week. I just know how they feel about it, and it would be very difficult for me to stand in front of them and tell them that they’re wrong with any true honesty.
