Ohio State football coach Ryan Day is leading the Buckeyes through a crucial offseason that will shape the franchise’s future. After Ohio State’s loss to Michigan last year, there were cries for Day’s dismissal. However, the Buckeyes are confident in Day’s ability to guide them back to success this season.

According to Andrew Gould of The Spun, Tony Alford, the running back coach at Ohio State, will be departing to assume the same position at Michigan.

Ryan Day is now getting real about one of his coaches leaving for an arch-rival.

“We’re into the process of identifying replacements,” Day went on to say. “We’re excited about the group we’ve already selected, and we plan to be thorough in the process. I believe the good news is that we’re not in a position where we have to make a rapid decision based on recruitment, the portal, or anything else,” Day told Gould.
