“To be honest, I did really well at the beginning of the season, but I faded out with poor performances. Then, after my accident, I was a little rusty. I’m demonstrating my qualities once more now. I may not be the most attractive football player, but I accept that about myself. I know what I can do and what I bring to the field when I walk onto it. And in the end, every manager starts using me after realizing the benefits I can offer the group.
His honesty and confidence are a refreshing change of pace for a player who frequently says contentious things that enrage fans. It is nearly impossible for defenders to keep up with him when he is performing at his peak. That is necessary for West Ham to end strongly.
