38 wins: How did Viktor Gyokeres perform alongside Gus Hamer at Coventry City?

Gyokeres, as a striker, would have valued a player with Hamer’s technical skill set, and it’s no accident that Hamer’s inclusion in the team coincided with his two finest seasons. The Swedish international is rumored to be joining a Premier League team this summer after his impressive play earned him a transfer to Lisbon.

In the 101 games played with Hamer, Gyokeres finished with 38 goals and 16 assists. The Blades player also struck the net 14 times and assisted on 21 goals, demonstrating how Robins devised a system that let them both flourish.

Thankfully for Coventry, despite losing Hamer and Gyokeres, the team has rebounded, and the recruitment team has made some wise signings with the money they brought in.
