The Reds’ Premier League survival was seriously jeopardized on Monday, March 18, when they received a catastrophic four-point deduction that dropped them to 18th position, below Luton Town.

Forest was punished after an independent panel determined that they had overreached by £34.5 million over their permissible losses level of £61 million. However, sources have told Football Insider (March 21) that they are “very unlikely” to contest the allegation.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team has just nine games left to save themselves from the bottom with just 21 points.

On March 30, they will host Crystal Palace at the City Ground following the international break.
