Kris Boyd hails three Rangers signings which have made Celtic look very silly

Kris Boyd praises three Rangers additions that have made Celtic look dumb.

According to former Rangers striker Kris Boyd, the success of Rangers’ January transfer window activities defies Celtic’s allegations that there was no value to be found in the market.

Only two players came at Parkhead from January 1st to February 1st. While Norwich City loanee Adam Idah has scored five goals in his first five Premiership games, the consensus is that Celtic’s squad is weaker now than it was when the fireworks were lighting up the Hogmanay sky. This is especially true after the departure of Liel Abada, David Turnbull, and Alexandro Bernabei.

Boyd contends that Rangers’ three midseason hires are outperforming the Celtic board, which is already under criticism.

Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande worked well together to bring up Tom Lawrence’s goal in the 2-2 draw against Benfica on Thursday. Although Oscar Cortes’ loan at Ibrox was cut short due to injury, the Colombian speedster was on track to become a fan favorite following a promising start.

“Celtic complained to their shareholders that they couldn’t locate suitable targets during the January transfer window. Boyd tells the Scottish Sun that Rangers did not seem to have that problem.

“When the Hoops announced their impressive financial results, they told fans they would have liked to spend more on new stars, but couldn’t get the deals done.” Meanwhile, Philippe Clement brought in Mohamed Diomande, Fabio Silva, and Oscar Cortes.”

Rangers have previously made effective use of the winter window. Nicolas Raskin and Todd Cantwell arrived from Standard Liege and Norwich in 2022, and both – particularly the latter – have contributed to the club’s current rise to the top of the Premiership.

Diomande was a huge hit at Ibrox.
