Now that one expert believes Cercle Brugge striker Kevin Denkey, who has scored 21 goals, is worth £25 million, rumors that Rangers was considering a January transfer for the player seem even more absurd.

Along with Mohamed Diomande and deadline-day addition Oscar Cortes, a few quite ludicrous rumors surfaced on social media around the close of the winter season, implying that Philippe Clement’s team was hoping to add one of the best strikers in Europe. In just 20 games this season, Kevin Denkey has amassed 21 goals for his employers in Belgium.

If Chelsea’s interest in Denkey wasn’t enough of a sign that he was a forward much beyond Rangers’ budget, then former Cercle Brugge striker Tuur Dierckx’s remarks should have been.

should put a strong stop to the rumors that associate the free-scoring international from Togo with the Scottish Premiership contenders.
I believe Cercle was designed with his system in mind. Dierckx tells Het Nieuwsblad about a player who is in the lead this season to win Belgium’s Golden Boot. “He is obviously very strong.”

Denkey now leads Iago Thiago, the second-most prolific player in the Jupiler League, by four goals. The Brazilian will pay an eye-watering £30 million to join Brentford in the summer, and Dierckx believes Denkey should want a comparable price to follow Thiago out of the door.

He continues, “Denkey is worth 30 million euros if Thiago is worth 37 million.” Chelsea is interested in Jupiler League striker Denkey, according to HITC Football, which was observed in January. After scoring a brace in Rangers’ 3-1 victory over Ross County midweek, the once-maligned Cyriel Dessers achieved double digits in his maiden Scottish Premiership campaign. Meanwhile, Rangers suddenly have an in-form number nine of their own.

Rangers continue to believe that Danilo, who hasn’t played since suffering a major injury before Christmas, can still be a factor in what is expected to be a fierce race for the league championship this year.
Cammy Bell admits that even with Cyriel Dessers’ incredible form, he understands the Rangers fans’ current emotions.

Nationwide commentators and admirers criticized the Nigerian. Dessers was far too wasteful in front of goal and was failing to win over the Ibrox faithful. But under Philippe Clement, who is getting the most out of him, he is a changed guy.

Since the Old Firm loss prior to the winter break, the 29-year-old has played a significant role in Rangers’ dominant play.

Dessers has five goals in seven games this year, according to Soccerbase, to go along with the Light Blues’ undefeated record in 2024.
