‘A few weaknesses to exploit’: Monza manager Palladino praises and warns Milan

Ahead of tomorrow’s clash against AC Milan, Monza manager Raffaele Palladino spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on what will be a ‘difficult’ evening. However, he made it clear that the Rossoneri are not unbeatable.

With seven wins, two draws, and a 3-0 victory against Stade Rennes on Thursday, Milan leads the league with nine games unbeaten. Conversely, Monza has only triumphed once in their previous five league games (2D, 2L).

At his press conference, Palladino discussed his opinions on the match and what Monza needs to do to win with the media, as reported by MilanNews. He said in closing that Milan has certain vulnerabilities that they hope to take advantage of.

On the game…

“We will face a very strong Milan and it won’t be easy to come away with points, but we will try to put them in difficulty.”

How to stop Milan…

On Loftus-Cheek…

Loftus-Cheek: 'Enjoying new Milan role' - Football Italia

“An extraordinary player, for me he has everything and is of international level. He has technique, positioning and experience, almost like an extra striker. He had already impressed me in August [during the pre-season friendly] but Milan also have other top players, we must pay attention to everything and everyone.”

Is there a quality in particular that you fear about Milan?

“Milan have many qualities, they defend well and attack well. Pioli is doing an excellent job both in the league and in the Europa League. A team that knows what to do and when to do it. Difficult to face, but they are not unbeatable, we will try to put them in difficulty by exploiting a few weaknesses they have.”

The game is scheduled for 20:45 CET and it looks like Stefano Pioli could play Jan-Carlo Simic from start. The youngster scored in the reverse fixture, which finished 3-0 in favour of the Rossoneri, and will be looking to impress once again tomorrow.
