Mark Guidi now makes exciting Celtic transfer claim ahead of January window

Mark Guidi now makes exciting Celtic transfer claim ahead of January window.

Celtic had made it clear what they wanted to do when the January transfer market opened. Brendan Rodgers has issued a warning, saying he wants to see them get stronger and he will make sure they do.

The club is lacking a spark, as evidenced by their Champions League results and their recent dismal performances in the Scottish Premiership. Rodgers plans to inject that spark in less than four weeks.

How many players the Celtic manager has his eye on is unclear but journalist, Mark Guidi, has said that he ‘knows’ that the club are active in the market already and is working on targets for a number of positions in the team.

Guidi said [The Go Radio Football Show], “I think he’s made it clear that they’ll be working on targets, in fact, I know they are working on targets now for guys for certain positions to get in the door.

“So Brendan Rodgers knows what’s needed, there’s no doubt about that. He wants to try, first and foremost, to win the league and then make an impact in Europe in some shape or form

In terms of outcomes, there must have been an improvement over the previous two seasons.

TBR Following Guidi’s statement that Celtic might spend up to £15 million in January, Celtic has previously stated that they need at least five players who are ready for the first team to have a meaningful influence on the Champions League.
