According to a report from TBR Football, Rayan Ait-Nouri is a target for Liverpool as they aim to strengthen their left side of defense.
Although extending the contracts of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah is the first priority, the Reds’ recruitment team is also trying to bolster the full-back position.
Liverpool keen on signing Rayan Ait-Nouri
Although they now have Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson on the left side of their defense, club officials believe that position might use some work.
Tsimikas’s future has been unclear since last summer, while Robertson’s levels have recently declined. They are therefore seeking a player who can strengthen their back line, and Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri is at the top of their list.
They believe he might be a fantastic addition at left-back and have been keeping a close eye on him for more than a year. Since joining the Premier League from Angers in a £9.5 million trade, the 23-year-old has only gotten better.
While the Reds are willing to push hard for his signature when the transfer window reopens, they will face serious competition for his signature from their rivals.
Manchester United to rival Liverpool
Manchester United is prepared to give their bitter rivals Liverpool fierce competition, according to a GiveMeSport story. Rayan Ait-Nouri is a target for Ruben Amorim, who is anticipated to take over as the Red Devils’ next manager shortly.
At Old Trafford, the Sporting manager will try to apply his style of play, which calls for them to switch to a back three with two wing-backs who are attack-minded. Diogo Dalot, his current full-back, is quite combative, and he wants to add another one for the opposing flank.
They are considering the Wolves defenders as someone who can assist them in the long run, even though Luke Shaw is a top-tier full-back going forward due to his fitness issues.
Since strengthening their left defense has become a top priority, both Premier League powerhouses are attempting to raid Wolves at the beginning of the year for the £33,000-per-week star. They do have a chance to get a deal at a reduced price for the Algerian defender, who was valued at over £60 million at the end of the previous season, as Ait-Nouri enters the last 18 months of his contract.
