Rangers talent says 'anything can happen' after MOTM showing in front of Philippe Clement

Rangers boss Philippe Clement witnessed the Ibrox club’s B squad dominate their first-team rivals with a 4-1 SPFL Trust Trophy win.

The Belgian manager and other club officials visited the Ibrox young squad to evaluate rising talents.

Romanian playmaker Ianis Hagi and returning Brazilian attacker Danilo scored, while Zak Lovelace secured a spot in the future matchday roster.

Another kid on exhibit at the Forthbank Stadium in Stirling may have given the Rangers boss something to consider.

Paul Nsio earned ‘MOTM in Rangers B rout’.

Paul Nsio, who joined Rangers from Lambeth Tigers two years ago, participated in the club’s pre-season training camp in the Netherlands.

The 18-year-old has made steady development in the Rangers academy over the previous two years. He was the unlikely shining light as Clement & co watched the B team romp.

The youthful midfielder assisted Danilo’s goal, which put Rangers ahead 2-0, while Paul Nsio also assisted Findlay Curtis’ second goal of the game.

Nsio’s outstanding performance attracted the attention of Ibrox blogger Four Lads Had a Dream, and we’re sure Philippe Clement was also taking notes on the midfielder’s improvement.

Four Lads believes that Paul Nsio was the Man of the Match on a successful night for Rangers, and that the teenager has ‘a lot of promise’.

‘Anything may happen’ as Rangers talent seeks breakthrough.

Paul Nsio also talked to RangersTV following an outstanding performance against Stenhousemuir in the SPFL Trust Trophy.

The double-assist hero discussed Stenhousemuir’s toughness in the encounter as well as his own performance.

With Nsio aiming for a breakthrough at Rangers, the midfielder was happy to show Philippe Clement ‘what he’s capable of’ in the match.

“Every time I have space around me I just like to do my own thing and yeah man, it’s just what I done,” replied Nsio.

“So I’m glad that we won. Of course, Finlay (Curtis) and Danilo deserve credit for the two goals.

“Their number six was massive, and I had Curtis next to me, who is a little smaller, so I needed to dominate around the ball.

“Every time he had it, I had to literally pull him off. I’m pleased with my physical appearance; I need to work on it a little more, but I’m content with it.

“Anything may happen. When they’re watching, simply be the greatest on the pitch and demonstrate your abilities.

“Maybe in the next couple of months you might get a chance, so I’m pleased.”
