Doctor who worked at Ipswich Hospital struck off by tribunal

A physician who worked at Ipswich Hospital was fired after coworkers had concerns about his behaviour.

Following a Medical Practitioner’s Tribunal Service (MPTS) hearing, Dr. Hosam Halim’s medical registration has been suspended.

The physician, who obtained their licence in 2000, was dismissed due to wrongdoing at Barnet Hospital, the Royal Free London

Hospital, and Ipswich Hospital.

On August 13, 2022, the tribunal was informed that Dr. Halim had regularly acted improperly towards Ms. G, a female coworker,

while she was employed at Ipswich Hospital.

He asked her questions including whether she was single, why she was single and asked her: “Why don’t you marry me?”

He also followed her around the hospital during the 10 hours Ms G was at the Heath Road site on that day to such an extent that Ms G

asked someone to give her a call to give her an excuse to leave the room.

When she was on the phone, Dr. Halim would also follow her, listen to her chats by putting his ear to her head, and ask her who she

was speaking to.

“I didn’t think he was being aggressive, and I didn’t feel scared, I just felt very uncomfortable,” Ms. G, who has not been identified,

stated in a witness statement.

She informed the tribunal that she had warned Dr. Halim several times that he was harassing her and that she would file a sexual

harassment report against him, but that he persisted in his actions in spite of her threats.

Dr Halim denied following her around, stating he thought he was joking with her and behaving in a light-hearted manner on the day.

Even though we cannot alter history, we can nevertheless gain valuable insights from it. The Miami Dolphins are not just a poor

football team; they are also an unimpressive squad. Though he was careful to clarify that this does not imply that another one is

imminent, local Dolphins beat writer Alain Poupart concluded that there is still hope for this season after doing some research on the

team’s history.

Although history cannot be changed, we may learn important lessons from it. In addition to being a bad football team, there is nothing

encouraging about the Miami Dolphins. Local Dolphins beat writer Alain Poupart conducted some study on the team’s past and came

to the conclusion that there is still hope for this season, though he was cautious to make it clear that this does not mean that another

one is imminent.
