Manor Solomon On Bench – Leeds United Team vs Watford Confirmed

Leeds United team news vs Watford as Daniel Farke reacts to Sheff Utd win

Friday’s complete performance at Elland Road has, predictably, seen Daniel Farke make no changes to his Leeds United line-up. The manager talked up the benefit of four nights at home since full-time and showed no concerns about his starters recovering from their efforts.

Junior Firpo, Ao Tanaka and Brenden Aaronson had hectic build-ups to Friday’s game, but retain their places tonight. Sam Byram has to wait a little longer for his first league start of the season, with the full-backs getting better by the week.

In attack, Mateo Joseph, Manor Solomon and Daniel James will be champing at the bit for starts after doing well from the bench last week. However, the starting front four cannot be budged on recent form.

Joe Rodon, Firpo and Jayden Bogle have all picked up four yellow cards this season. They start tonight and will have to walkt that tightrope from the start of the match. The selection means Firpo and Rodon are the only players still on for starting every match in all competitions this season for Leeds.

As ever, Alex Cairns is with the squad, but remains off the teamsheet. Tonight’s referee against the Hornets is Anthony Backhouse, assisted by Alex James, Bhupinder Singh Gill and Josh Smith (fourth official).

Leeds United: Illan Meslier; Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Junior Firpo; Joe Rothwell, Ao Tanaka; Wilfried Gnonto, Brenden Aaronson, Largie Ramazani; Joel Piroe.

Substitutes: Karl Darlow, Daniel James, Patrick Bamford, Manor Solomon, Mateo Joseph, Sam Byram, Issac Schmidt, James Debayo, Charlie Crew.
