Comitis: Sundowns dominance is bad business for PSL, Chiefs and Pirates need to win the league
Cape Town City chairman John Comitis said it’s important for Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates to start winning the league because it brings a lot of good business as opposed to Mamelodi Sundowns.
“It’s important that Chiefs or Pirates win the league soon because that is good for business. The dominance of one team in a league of 18 teams is bad business for the league,” Comitis said.
“To me, and I know I’m speaking against myself, but when Chiefs and Pirates isn’t up there, we [City] can feel the down, as a team that is not Chiefs or Pirates,” he added.
“When Chiefs and Pirates are winning, the stadiums are full and it’s a snowball effect.”
