Loan Watch: Luca Thomas gets off to flying start

Academy star Luca Thomas couldn’t have asked for a better start to his loan spell at York City, the striker scoring in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Ebbsfleet United.

Thomas joined the Minstermen on a short-term loan last Thursday, before coming off the bench in the 74th minute of Saturday’s National League clash.

It would take the 20 year old just 22 minutes to get his first senior goal, latching onto the end of Alex Hunt’s pinpoint cross, before cooly slotting past the Ebbsfleet keeper.

Thomas will be hoping to feature in Tuesday night’s top of the table clash between Barnet and York City, with only point separating the two teams.
