Carlos Corberan’s pragmatic attitude has deprived Albion fans precious goals. This was the sixth time they have scored one or no goals in the previous ten league games. However, Oxford deserves a lot of credit for their habit of bloodying the noses of bigger clubs at home. Everything about Oxford’s stadium suggests that Des Buckingham’s team’s time in the second tier will be short.
Nonetheless, the Baggies have joined Norwich, Preston, Stoke, and Burnley as teams that have failed to win in Oxfordshire.
