Watch: Reo Hatate And Kyogo Goals Inspire 2-0 Lead At The Break

A top-of-the-table clash has brought out the best in the Japanese duo, who have linked up well for the majority of the first-half.

Arne Engels will go down as the unsung hero for the first goal with his through ball to Kyogo, who cut the ball back for Hatate, who rifled it past Mitov in the Aberdeen goal, leaving the Dons keeper no chance in the 23rd minute.

Celtic would add a double just three minutes later when a deflected shot from Hatate fell to Kyogo, who calmly slotted it in to put the Hoops 2-0 up.

Questions have been asked of Hatate this season about whether he could keep Paulo Bernardo out of the team, and he has certainly hit back in style with his involvement in both goals, including one for himself.

Kyogo himself faced criticism last season; however, he has hit back with four goals in eight league games so far, a very respectable tally.

Given his change in role, it is impressive just how hard he has worked to become the first choice under Brendan Rodgers.
