Club believe player now worth €40m after summer arrival from Norwich City.

Galatasaray’s management has been left ‘in awe’ of Gabriel Sara since signing him from Norwich City this summer, and they now value him at €40 million.

According to Milliyet, the Turkish side has set a ‘jaw-dropping’ price for the 25-year-old. Sara came to Galatasaray for €18 million in the summer, following two years at Norwich City and a move from São Paulo in 2022. He had 21 goals and 17 assists in 96 appearances for the Canaries and has begun well at Galatasaray, with two goals and three assists in 11 games across all competitions thus far.

Milliyet report that the transfer had been initially questioned because of the high cost but that has now completely changed, with criticism turning into praise.

Sara’s performance in Kadıköy has ‘impressed everyone’, including club management. In fact, they now believe his asking price is soaring, and if he continues on his current path, he may be worth €40 million before long. That would be aided by his selection to the Brazilian national team, where the 25-year-old has yet to play for his country but appears to be vying for a cap based on his performances. Everything is going well since his arrival from Norwich, and everyone in Turkey, particularly at Galatasaray, is really excited.
