A Championship opponent continues to pursue the 31-year-old who departed West Brom this summer.

Adam Reach is still training with Swansea City while looking for a new team. He formerly played for West Brom.

The 31-year-old is on his second week of training with the Welsh squad. He and former Hull City defender Cyrus Christie are currently at their training camp, hoping to conclude their free agency.

Christie and Reach are virtually on trial, as they try to convince head coach Luke Williams to take a risk on them. Several players were away on international service, so they made up the numbers; but, now that players have returned, they are getting to know their possible new colleagues better.

Williams told WalesOnline that they had identified two high-quality players who are currently without contracts.

“It was a wonderful week for us because there were less people in the training group.

“We had a careful look at them. They trained today. We had an opportunity to look at these men, and they also looked at us.”

Swansea’s injury occurred during the international break. Eom Jisung suffered a knee ligament injury while playing for South Korea, causing him to miss the following six weeks.

Ji-sung is a left-sided winger, and Reach can play in that position. Reach’s primary position is left-sided winger, but he can also drop back to left-back or left wing-back and has played centre midfield.

When asked if any of them could sign, Williams said, “Some.” I believe I am unable to tell you some things right now since we have not had the necessary conversations. I’ll let you know when we do it.

“They are two talented, high-level athletes who also have great personalities. We do not invite the incorrect persons into the organisation.

“It’s been terrific having them here because they have expertise, quality, and train the right way. They behave as if they are contracted players, and it has been a delight.

“It’s been a valuable experience for us all I think.”
