Chesham vs Imps selected for TV coverage

On The Box: City’s FA Cup Tie Selected For Live Coverage

The Imps’ first-round FA Cup fixture against Chesham United has been postponed for Monday, November 4th, after being picked up for live TV broadcast on ITV4, as confirmed by the club’s official media.

Michael Skubala’s men will visit The Meadow for the first time in this competition, with the action beginning at 7.15 p.m. It’s an

uncommon Monday night slot for the Imps, who will be hoping to avoid an upset in front of a national audience. It’s also worth noting

that we were chosen for the FA Cup since we are the bigger club, unlike when we played Oldham or Ipswich.

If memory serves, the last time we had such an accolade was against Northwich Victoria in 2009, after they had defeated Charlton in the

first round. I may be mistaken. I attended that game, and on a personal note, the move may allow me to travel to Chesham, as we fly back

from Germany on the same day.

This match is part of an intriguing weekend of televised FA Cup action, with many lower-league clubs hoping to make headlines. Salford

was unexpectedly left out, although Wrexham and Birmingham were unsurprising. It appears that the Ammies are no longer making

headlines!

Here is the complete list of live games for the first round.

Friday, November 1, 2024

Tamworth vs. Huddersfield Town, 7:45pm, BBC Two.

Saturday, 2nd November 2024

Sunday, 3rd November 2024

Harrogate Town vs Wrexham at 3:30pm on ITVX.

Monday, 4 November 2024
