Birmingham City return to League One action this weekend with a trip to Lincoln City (3pm kick-off).

The Imps are flying high in the table and can move to within a point of league leaders Blues with a victory in a match that promises a contrast of styles. Lincoln are the antidote to possession-based Blues.

Michael Skubala’s team have averaged just 35.8 percent possession in their nine league games this term and have registered the second fewest shots per game (9.4). With 15 goals, Lincoln have outperformed their xG (expected goals) of 11.28 by 3.72 – a statistic only bettered by Wrexham. Put simply, Lincoln are quite clinical.

Blues will be without some key performers, including captain Krystian Bielik after he sustained an ankle injury in the defeat to Charlton Athletic, but Chris Davies’ squad has enough depth to cope.
