£8.5m Wolves ace also spotted back in training alongside Craig Dawson ahead of Brentford clash

It was always going to be a difficult start, but Wolves have been competitive in games and some will take heart from that. It is now about turning performances into points though. The pressure is mounting on O’Neil, but there’s a big chance for three points this weekend against Brentford, who have a number of injury concerns. Wanderers are still waiting for their first win in the Premier League. It was another defeat against Liverpool on Saturday and at the moment, Wolves are bottom of the table having taken just one point. It is now about turning games into points though.

But seemingly there has been no lasting damage for the player. Wolves have released new training photos today and Bueno can be seen in a couple of them training as normal with his teammates at Compton Park. Defender Craig Dawson was also with the group, after he missed out on the matchday squad for the Liverpool game through illness. So at the moment, O’Neil is only missing the longer-term injured players like Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore and Sasa Kalajdzic.

Bueno in contention for Brentford

It will be interesting to see how O’Neill lines up against Brentford. Dawson is expected to start after making a full recovery from illness, assuming he is match fit. Then, it will come down to a straight choice between Bueno and Toti Gomes. Given that Bueno cost £8.5 million to sign, there is a case to be made for him to start over the Portuguese, who looked more at ease in a back four overall. However, it’s really a toss-up, as Toti has likely been the manager’s favorite player since Bueno arrived at Molineux.
