Nottingham Forest announces transition of chairmanship

Nottingham Forest has today confirmed that Tom Cartledge will step down from his role as Chairman of the Club with immediate effect in order to dedicate more time to the running of his family businesses.

Tom leaves the post with the appreciation and best wishes of everyone associated with the Club. He will continue to serve on the Board of

Directors and contribute to Forest’s off-field growth strategy.

Tom was appointed at the start of the 2023/24 season, with the goal of assisting the Club’s desire to redevelop The City Ground and

strengthen ties with the city and its fan base.

Nottingham Forest is happy to announce Nicholas Randall KC’s reappointment as Chairman. Nicholas held the position for six years after

Evangelos Marinakis purchased the Club in 2017. Over the last year, he has continued to play an important role on the Board of Directors,

overseeing governance and legal issues.

Tom Cartledge said of his decision to step down: “I’ve had an incredible experience over the last 15 months working for the club I love and

have supported my entire life.

“It has been an honor and a delight to assist Mr Marinakis in delivering on his ambitious ambitions for our Club’s future, and I am happy

of the progress we have made together on a number of significant projects.

“Over the last year and a half, we have made significant progress in securing the Club’s future at an expanded City Ground, and I will now

continue to advise the owners on real estate strategy while spending more time working in my family business.”

“Under Mr Marinakis the Club is in great hands to continue our journey back to the top of English football and I look forward to doing all

I can to make this happen.”

Speaking about his reappointment as Chairman, Nicholas Randall KC said: “I’d like to thank Tom for his hard work and dedication over

the last year and a half. Throughout that time, it has been a privilege to be closely associated with the Club as a member of the Board, and

I am thrilled to resume my duty as Chairman today.

“I would like to thank Evangelos Marinakis and my fellow Board members for entrusting me with the position once again, and I look

forward to the next exciting chapter in our history.”
