Crystal Palace Fans Already Fed up With Former Lazio Midfielder Kamada

Daichi Kamada, who joined Crystal Palace from Lazio in the summer, has had a rocky start to his new life at the club, with some fans already given up on him.

The 28-year-old rose to fame while at Eintracht Frankfurt. His time in Germany culminated in the 2021/22 season, when he helped the team win the Europa League title.

After finishing his contract with the Bundesliga club, Kamada joined Lazio as a free agent. He signed a one-year deal with the option to extend it for another three years. Despite Claudio Lotito’s attempts, the Japanese midfielder chose not to activate the option and instead completed his second Bosman move in as many summers.

Crystal Palace Fans Upset with Poor Kamada Displays

Kamada was therefore reunited with his former Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace, although the two have failed to rediscover the magic of their original relationship. Despite appearing in six Premier League games, the former Lazio player has yet to score a goal. His sole goal came in the Carabao Cup against Norwich, a 4-0 triumph.

According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Crystal Palace supporters have grown tired of the Japan international. Some Eagles fans call him a “terrible” player, while others blame him for the team’s struggles this season. The Glaziers are presently 18th in the rankings, with only three points after six rounds.

Kamada had a rough start at Lazio under Maurizio Sarri, but his form improved significantly once Igor Tudor arrived in March.
