Battle of the League One clean sheet kings when Wrexham AFC face Stevenage.

When Wrexham and Stevenage square off at The Lamex Stadium on Tuesday night, it will be a matchup of the League One clean sheet champions.

At Brisbane Road, Reds goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo recorded his fifth shutout in eight league games on Saturday as Phil Parkinson’s high-fliers and Leyton Orient drew 0-0.

Together with Stevenage goalkeeper Murphy Cooper and Wigan Athletic stopper Sam Tickle, that is the joint-highest number of clean sheets in the third tier this season.

Stevenage has improved throughout the 2024–25 season, recording six shutouts in all competitions.

As Cooper was rested, Stevenage defeated Crystal Palace Under 21s 1-0 in a Football League Trophy group match thanks to a masterful goalkeeping performance by Dean Bouzanis.

Although Stevenage has only scored six goals and is currently ranked eleventh in the table with 11 points, Murphy has only given up five goals in eight league games this season.

Wrexham has scored 14 goals at the opposite end and is second with 17 points from eight games, but Okonkwo has allowed six goals.
