‘It’s alarming’… Kris Boyd is panicked at what Celtic are doing right now compared to Rangers

Celtic are already three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and they are about to embark on a run of games that will shape the season in the coming weeks.
If Celtic defeats Club Brugge in the Champions League, a play-off spot and more money from UEFA are very certainly secured.

A win over Aberdeen in the league will extend their lead at the top even further, and defeating Rangers in the upcoming League Cup final will secure their first trophy over the under-pressure Ibrox club.

Celtic is in a strong position, thanks to contract extensions for James Forrest and Alistair Johnston, which has former Rangers attacker Kris Boyd concerned.

Kris Boyd is seriously worried about Celtic ‘from a Rangers point of view

Boyd told Go Ballistic that Celtic are winning football games. I mean, Aberdeen faced that difficulty for a while. But it felt like it was only a matter of time before Celtic began to pull away.

“That puts them three points clear of Aberdeen and eleven ahead of Rangers. We haven’t even reached December yet.Rangers find it disturbing. But from Celtic, you’ll be overjoyed to go to Tynecastle and score four goals.

“It was a difficult first half for them, but it was the same at Celtic Park a few weeks back. They had a difficult first half, but they managed to get through it. Celtics find a way.”

Celtic’s next six Scottish Premiership fixtures compared to Rangers

Celtic’s fixtures are approaching thick and fast, and with Brendan Rodgers set to arrive at Ibrox on January 2nd, the Hoops manager still has six fixtures to handle.

Saturday November 30th: Celtic vs. Ross County
Wednesday, December 4th: Aberdeen vs. Celtic
Saturday, December 7th: Celtic against Hibernian
Sunday 22nd December: Dundee United against Celtic
Thursday, December 26th: Celtic vs. Motherwell
Sunday, December 29th: Celtic vs. St Johnstone
In comparison to Rangers, the Ibrox club’s league challenge could be finished before the huge Glasgow Derby if they drop further points.

Sunday 1st December: St Johnstone vs Rangers.
Wednesday, December 4th: Rangers vs. Kilmarnock
Sunday, December 8: Ross County vs. Rangers
Saturday, December 21st: Rangers vs. Dundee
Thursday, December 26th: St Mirren vs. Rangers

So it appears that Boyd has every reason to be worried. Rangers have four away games out of six, while Celtic play four of their six at Paradise.

There is only one team out of the two that appears to be shedding points on any given week, and it is not Celtic.
