Following a dismal 2024–25 season thus far, Rangers manager Philippe Clement is under increasing strain, and
there is conjecture that Kevin Muscat would be the one to take the team to the next level.
In October 2023, the Australian was very near to taking over as head coach of the Scottish Premiership giants, but
after Michael Beale was fired, Ibrox executives ultimately decided to choose Clement.
At the time, Muscat managed Ange Postecoglou’s former team, Yokohama F. Marinos.
He’s since moved to China, where he’s enjoyed more success.

Ahead of his team’s match against South Korean team Ulsan, which is scheduled for 10 a.m. UK time today, the 51-
year-old maintains that’s all he’s focused on.
“We have been inconsistent in the AFC Champions League, which has resulted in unstable outcomes,” he told Titan Sports.
“This season’s AFC Champions League phase still has four games remaining. Beginning with the game tomorrow,
we’re hoping the team can put on reliable performances.
“This season, Ulsan HD and we have a lot in common. Both teams are on the verge of competing in their cup finals
after winning their domestic top-tier league titles.
“However, neither team has achieved particularly good results in the AFC Champions League so far.”
