Gabriel Sara’s wages at Galatasaray compared to what he earned at Norwich City

The 25-year-old, who played two seasons at Carrow Road before agreeing to a five-year contract with the Turkish powerhouses, was acquired by the two teams for £20 million.

Sara helped his now-former team earn a spot in the play-offs after they were ultimately defeated 4-0 by Leeds United in the semi-finals, keeping them in the second division. Sara scored 13 goals and provided 12 assists in 46 Championship games in 2023–2024, making the move possibly frustrating for the Canaries.

He has, however, adapted to his new league with ease, scoring twice and dishing up five assists in his first nine games in the Süper Lig.

With his success growing, Football League World has taken a look at how much the Brazilian is estimated to be earning at his new club, and how that differs from his wage at Norwich.

Gabriel Sara’s wage has increased massively at Galatasaray

Prior to joining the Canaries, he was a little-known, but he soon established himself, especially in his second season, and attracted interest from Europe.

Because of this, it didn’t seem probable that Norwich would be able to hold onto the midfield player if they didn’t gain promotion, and it was even less likely given the reported salary he was receiving at Carrow Road.

It should be emphasized that this is merely an estimate, but Capology claims that the 25-year-old was earning £18,654 a week when he was in yellow-and-green.

This is far less than his current estimated salary, which is £73,382 per week according to the website—a weekly increase of more than £50,000.

If Capology’s estimations are accurate, it is an incredible rise, but it is not surprising given that Sara is now playing in the Europa League and that his new team is now leading the Süper Lig.

Even if his skills are finally being paid for, Norwich supporters will always remember how excellent he was to them during his two years there.

Sara’s pedigree has continued to rise at Galatasaray

Although he excelled at Carrow Road, he appears to have found a new level of skill in Turkey and is rapidly rising to the top of the league.

He contributed two assists to his team’s goals against Beskitas in their most recent game, maintaining them undefeated and further increasing their advantage at the top of the table.
