Club eyeing big profit as Nottingham Forest man shines – Transfer rumour has them excited.
Given that they stand to gain 15% of any transaction, Brazilian team Corinthians is anxiously awaiting Murillo’s possible departure from Nottingham Forest.
Antenados No Futebol claims that the Brazilian team is in dire need of the money that their former player may give them.
They clarify that with “billions of dollars in debt,” Corinthians is searching for ways to raise funds and contribute to the problem’s relief.
Murillo of Nottingham Forest, one of their former players, might assist in that regard and provide “millions” to the club’s finances.
He’s performing brilliantly at Nottingham Forest and is frequently linked to major European teams; Liverpool was recently said to be interested in signing him as Virgil van Dijk’s long-term replacement. The Spanish publication also gave Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona credit for monitoring the defense.
According to the same rumor, Nottingham Forest is selling Murillo for between €60 and €70 million, which would be within the means of the interested parties.
Corinthians, who would get a “hefty sum” from any sale, would undoubtedly be happy with that. This is because when they sold him to Nottingham Forest, they retained 10% of his rights. As one of his training clubs, they are also entitled to an additional 5% of any transfers.
They would therefore be entitled to 15% of the total sale price of any Nottingham Forest deal, which may turn out to be a sizable amount if Murillo goes for the listed prices.
Naturally, it’s only a dream for the time being due to the club’s dire financial situation, but if Murillo does depart Forest soon, it will be something to think about.
